When and where are your classes? Our seasonal leagues run all year round. Typically through Spring, Summer and Fall we run our leagues on weekends at Charleson Park, located on Charleson Street behind False Creek Elementary. We usually have various class times that will run on Friday evenings and Saturday and Sunday mornings though this depends on the season. In the Winter we usually move our classes to Trafalgar Park, located on Trafalgar St and 23rd Ave as this field holds up in the rain a little better. Be sure to check out our leagues page for the latest classes schedule and locations.

How do your classes work?At HappyFeet we teach soccer in an age appropriate manner which places having fun at the forefront of everything we do. Each of our classes is carefully structured to maximize engagement, development and fun. Below is a breakdown of how each age group is different. Tiny Toes (2 years), Big Toes (3-4 years) and HappyFeet (4-5 years) Classes We use a ball called 'Bob the Bobcat' and he is the main character of all our classes. We want your little one to fall in love with Bob and, in turn, fall in love with soccer! For the first 30 minutes of class, the kiddos will take Bob on an adventure. This could be to a castle, under the sea or even into space. As we work through the structured curriculum, your little one will develop their cognitive and motor skills while learning awesome soccer skills. For Tiny Toes classes, we ask parents to initially participate alongside their little ones with the goal that the kids gradually become independent enough to work alongside their coaches and new teammates. HappyFeet Plus (5-6 years) and Future Rangers (6-8 years) Classes These classes provide the perfect opportunity for your soccer star to learn and practice skills in game settings. Where these kiddos may have moved on from stories and adventures, all of our classes are still themed in order to further engage with our players. Our curriculum is designed to ensure all children are allowed to develop and excel at their own pace whilst maximizing skill development. The kids will work their way through a structured curriculum building on their cognitive and motor skills, perfectling individual skills and developing their 'team' play. For all of our league classes, except our Tiny Toes classes, the final 30 minutes of class will comprise of a non-competitive soccer game. This will give your little ones lots of opportunity to show off their skills, score goals and celebrate their successes!

Does my child need prior soccer experience to participate?Absolutely not! All of our programming is designed to welcome beginners to the program at any age. There is no pressure to excel in any of our classes, we just want to encourage a safe environment where fun and skill acquisition go hand in hand.

How many participants are in your classes? In our leagues there are usually 12-14 students in a class with two coaches. There will be 1 lead coach supported by 1 assistant coach.

Do your classes run when it rains?Yes! We are a rain or shine program. We believe it is important for our kiddos to play outside in all weather conditions. In wet weather we encourage all players to wear good rain gear with warm under-layers. Muddy Buddy's and rain boots are A-OK. If we need to cancel classes due to unsafe weather conditions then we will be sure to notify all parents via text and email.

What should my child wear for class? Please allow your children to wear whatever they feel comfortable in. The most important thing is ensuring that your little ones are protected from the elements. For our leagues, we will be providing every participant with a jersey on week one which we ask they wear each class. With regards to footwear, children can wear cleats but runners are also fine. We do recommend that all children wear shin guards and soccer socks to minimize any potential bumps. We also ask that parents ensure each child has a full bottle of water each class. Summer Season On the hotter days sunscreen and caps / sun hats are highly reccomended. We will also be taking lots of water breaks! Winter Season Muddy Buddies / rain jackets, rain boots are perfectly ok! Feel free to put your jersey on over the top of you rain protection!

What is your cancellation & refund policy?Withdrawals and Refunds A full refund, minus a $25 processing fee, can be provided if a participant is withdrawn from a program more than 24 hours before the start of the first scheduled class. Players who are withdrawn less than 24 hours before the first class, or after the first class, can receive a 50% refund. No refunds will be made if a player is withdrawn after the second class of the program. Missed sessions There will be no reimbursement or make-ups for practices or games missed due to personal matters, such as vacations, school and social events. If your little one misses more than one week of classes due to illness or injury, please contact the HappyFeet Director to discuss billing and make-up options. Cancellation due to weather Our classes will run rain or shine but If, for whatever reason, the field should become unsafe to play on we will notify all participants ahead of time via text and email. If this is the case we will make every attempt to reschedule cancelled classes to another time. We will not be able to issue refunds if we are unable to reschedule due to weather.
